Phil Morgan is the new Executive Director of the Kootenai Humane Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals and the citizens in Northern Idaho. Prior to this position, he spent one year as the Executive Director of the Second Chance Animal Center in Northern Arizona and seven years as the Executive Director of the Escondido Humane Society in San Diego County. Prior to that, he spent twenty-two years as a CEO/Executive/Owner of a series of for-profit organizations in the Pet Industry. Phil had lived in San Diego for thirty-two years where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from San Diego State University and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management in a cooperative program with the Humane Society of the United States and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland. Phil is married and is the father of four daughters. His special interests include education, child and animal welfare. Phil has been the youth advisor for Kiwanis and Rotary youth groups and also served on the Board of Directors for the Escondido Education Compact, the Executive Committees of the Escondido Rotary International’s Safety Town project and was the Chairperson of The Pet Crisis Project.
