How does the Kootenai Humane Society receive the money to operate?

The Kootenai Humane Society relies on the generosity of our community and companies to fund our operations and programs. Kootenai Humane Society is a non- profit 501c3 organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. KHS is NOT a government agency and we do NOT receive funds from the City, County, State or Government. We depend entirely on Grants, Fundraisers, income from the Adoption Center, Thrift Stores, and Donations.
