To have your lost/found animals posted here, please email your name, address, phone #, your animals' name, breed, colors, age, collar color, location of lost/found and date of lost/found to marketing@kootenaihumanesociety.com and we'll put it here ASAP.

KHS has a contract with the City of Coeur d’Alene and the City of Rathdrum to take in their stray dogs.  These dogs have 5 days to be claimed by their owners. On the 6th day the dogs become the property of KHS and we will adopt them out. KHS does not have a contract with Kootenai County. Therefore, all animals roaming at large in Kootenai County are taken to the Post Falls Animal Control Facility. KHS is not animal control.

Lost cat.  Male,orange Maine Coon cat on 5/12 in Garwood area.  His name is Bob and he is a senior and needs thyroid medication twice a day.  He is a beloved pet.  Contact Jack or Donna at 772-5558 if you have information.

Found dog.  Older, fawn colored, intact, male boxer.  Found near the top of Upriver Dr just west of Hwy 95 on 5/10/13. He had no collar and has had his ears cropped. He is very old but sweet and amazingly energetic. Please call Tina Raver 208-651-2947.

Lost dog.  3 yr old black lab named Dude went missing late last night 5/11/13 in the area of 21st and Idaho in Post Falls.  Please contact Brandie Pittelko at 208-262-1376.

Found dog.  Female, German Shorthair Pointer, older, gray muzzle, liver & white, not collar, no microchip.  Found on May 10, approximately 8:00 p.m., running west on Boekel Rd.  Please contact Terah Chance 208-691-2790.

Lost cat.  Male, unaltered, one-year-old, brown/black and tan stripes on body, spots on his belly. He is a polydactyal (has extra toes) and comes to the name Bigfoot or biggy.  Last seen May 7th on Diagonal Rd in Rathdrum. Please call Miranda 208-819-8400.

Lost cat.  Male, 3-4 years old named Oscar. Last seen 05/01/2013 around Mill River condos off of Seltice Way. Short haired, beautiful markings-browns, blacks and some white (tabby), black tip on tail, green/yellow eyes. Please contact Cassie Dretke 509-995-7690.

Lost dog.  Female, 12 year old dachshund. Brown & tan colored, micro chipped. Last seen in the area of 2nd Street and Foster Ave in CDA around 12:30 a.m. on 5/4/13.  Please call Andreana Hagen at (208)819-3784 or (208)765-9164.

Found dog.  Basset hound yesterday evening, Sunday, May 5th, in Spirit Lake East, Idaho.  Please call Colleen at either 659-7931 or 623-6814. 

Lost cat. Male short-haired orange tabby named Max. Missing from Wariwck Ct. in Broadmoore Estates since 5/2. Dearly loved family pet. Please call 640-1053.

Lost cat.  A neutered male light-orange tabby, 2 yrs. old, goes by the name of Tollers.  He went missing two and a half weeks ago from the Pioneer Ridge area in Post Falls, 404 W. Appaloosa Ave.  My name is Katrina Uribe at 208.704.9744 and ancientelvenesse@yahoo.com.

Lost dog.  Female, chocolate lab, 1-year-old, answers to Dani. Was wearing a faded pink color.  She has a raspy breath/voice and is very friendly.  Last seen on 04/29 at 3157 S Blue Crk Rd, CDA. Please call Jay 509-951-5944  or Sam 208-819-5771 if you have seen her!

Lost cat. Bella on 4/25. We just moved into this home an Bella got out. She is almost a year old. She has tabby features but is light gray white/cream with some orange. She is very much a timid scared kitty an may hide in someones yard under anything. She is not used to being outside. She may not let anyone near her. She is a momma's girl completely. She has light blue collar with pink tag that says princess Bella and my old address of 315 N 20th 208-819-4876. Lost cat. Mr. Kitty was last seen 3/31 - 4/1 in Rathdrum on Silverado St. She is about 4 years old. Tortoise shell/grey tabby in collar and is wearing no color. She is rather shy at first but very loving and sweet. Also she is over weight. Please call Jessica at 208.661.9523.

Lost dog.  Female Labrador, went missing around 04/13/2013, 9:30 am in the blue creek area. She is small for a lab name is Bella 2 1/2 yrs.old has orange tips on ears.  Please contact Margaret Tejada at 208-667-6205.

Lost cat.  11 year old female Calico. Her name is Snuggles.  She is black/orange with a white belly and paws.  Lost in the vicinity of Francis St in CDA on Wednesday 04/03.  No collar but she will come to the rapid tapping of a cat food can. Please call Jesse (208) 277-4688.

Lost cat.  Missing my fixed female Russian blue cat.   She is recently fixed so her hair is still shaved and scar new.   Missing in Post falls the vicinity of 16th and Syringa.   She has a collar but no tags. Please call 208-755-8632.

Lost dog.  Chocolate lab named Pheobe, she is brown with white under her chin, she is 4 years old almost 5, she was wearing a pink colar, she ran out of our back yard in the Hawks nest in CDA ID on saturday the 30th of march around noon time. Lost dog.  Amber, golden retriever, 8 or 9 years old, thick golden coat with a light/whitish underside. Lost April 3rd anywhere between 7-9pm, lost on Stonehaven Dr area in Hayden. Could also be in Dalton Gardens, near Mt. Carroll street. Dark greenish collar with name address and number on it. 208-755-1648, my cell is 659-7653, please call 2nd number.

Lost dog.  Last seen around 4p.m. Saturday 3/30/13 on 4th and Indiana Ave downtown CDA.  His name is Spazz. He is a pitbull/boxer mix and is white and brown (the brown part is actually brindle).  He is a very mellow dog and will not hurt anyone.  My son is in North Dakota working on a oil rig and will be heart broken if we can't find his dog. Found dog.  Young Female Yellow lab found near N Canal Street and Fairmont Loop Rd (just south of Spokane River on Hwy 95 in CdA). Collar with no tags. Dog has painted toenails and is missing her family! Call 208-640-4240.

Lost dog.  Xena is a female Rottweiler / Australian Shepherd mix last seen in the Garwood area between Ohio match Rd. and Garwood Rd. on March 15.  Black and tan with white markings on chest, about 60 pounds, black collar, no tags, no microchip. If found please call Chris at 208-691-1249.

Found cat.  Black and white cat found on 3/15 in the 9th and Foster area. Is very friendly and has been hanging out on our porch for the last few days. No collar. Please call 414-254-0500.
